Christina is the Advancement Officer for St. Charles Parish and School, a job she’s held since 2015. She handles communications, student recruitment and retention, fundraising and development and public relations for St. Charles.
Christina and her husband Colin moved to Wisconsin from Washington state in August 2014. They are parishioners at St. Charles and have three children at the school – Renata in 7th grade, Fiona in 4th grade and Alistair in 3rd grade.
Christina took an active role at her children’s Catholic school in Washington state from 2008-2014 and her volunteer duties included chairing the annual dinner and auction, handling media relations and serving as president of the Parents Club (similar to the Home and School Association).
Christina Holmes is a public relations specialist who’s spent more than two decades writing about private and public education for newspapers and magazines in Illinois, California and the Pacific Northwest. After graduating with a journalism degree, she wrote for daily newspapers in the Chicago suburbs and also in Los Angeles County. She later served as Public Affairs Director at San Francisco State University, handling all forms of communications for the 30,000-student university. While raising her young children she ran a freelance writing business where her clients included Portland Community College, the largest college system in Oregon.
As a lifelong, practicing Catholic, Christina is thankful and blessed to work in an environment where she can practice her faith and help others grow in their faithfulness to our Lord.
