I joined the staff of St. Charles Parish August 10, 2015, elated to be blessed into a faith-filled position.
In our love for people, my husband and I and children opened “Colonial Gardens Bed & Breakfast” in Sturgeon Bay; enjoying almost 10 years of welcoming folks to our home.
After selling our inn in 2004, I became the parish secretary for Corpus Christi in Sturgeon Bay for 6 ½ years; blessed again to enjoy my love for people.
In the fall of 2012, my husband Joe and I had an opportunity to move to the state of Oregon for 2½ years. I attained a position at the Eugene Rescue Mission in Eugene, Oregon for the homeless as Office Coordinator. The city of Eugene has the largest homeless population in the United States. I was touched each and every day by the joy and the love of all who stayed at the mission and the hearts of the compassionate staff. The Lord was truly present.
I have four wonderful children and 6 beautiful grandchildren. I love to read, garden, bike, take long walks with my dear husband, Joe and be a part of nature in any way shape or form. Journeys will continue in my life, but my faith in the Lord remains the most important aspect in my life.
