Marge Beck

Director of Administrative Services

I had grand designs when I began my Masters degree in Business Administration in 2011. To allow time for school, I took a position as the Administrative Assistant to Christian Formation at St. Mary in Menomonee Falls. The Lord works in mysterious ways and I found I needed to follow his design for me as I fell more in love with the work of His church. When I completed my degree and began looking for a job, the good Lord provided an opportunity at St. Charles. I could not have asked for more than to be a part of this growing, young, energetic parish where I could use my 15+ years of management experience and the additional educational experience. Thank you St. Charles and thank you God as I work to help build his church.

I had 20 years of business management and banking experience prior to coming to St. Charles. I spent the first 10 years in retail sales and management working in operation up to $1.3 million in sales. I spent the next 10 years in bank lending and collections for large and small institutions. I returned to school in 2011 to achieve a Masters Degree in Business Administration. During that time, I spent 2 years as the Administrative Assistant for Christian Formation and 1 year as Administrative Generalist in St. Mary Parish business office.

I am a born and bred Wisconsinite who bleeds green and gold. Raised in a traditional and still close knit Catholic family of 5, I attempt to bring the same loving and faith filled home to my daughter Clarice (Clare) and husband John. When time is available, I enjoy spending time camping with my extended family, bicycling, and playing with the dog. An added bonus to my life in the last couple years has been the opportunity to participate in small groups in my parish. I encourage you to try it.

Responsibilities

I am responsible for all aspects of parish operations. I coordinate with the Director of Maintenance and the Building and Grounds Committee regarding daily and scheduled maintenance and repairs to the building, grounds, and equipment. I work on Budget development and maintenance with the Directors, Principal, and Parish Finance Council. The more challenging Human Resource operations also keep me on my toes. Parishioners will come to me regarding cemetery plot and columbarium sales along with coordinating with funeral directors on burials. I also schedule rental of facilities and grounds, when not used for parish events. As for any parish employee, I also do any job assigned by my Pastor. Most importantly, I am available to speak to and work with all parishioners and volunteers addressing their needs and concerns.
