Director of Adult & Family Ministry

Always passionate about my faith, I felt a real calling to become part of the St. Charles staff when the parish expanded its’ ministries to include Adult and Family Ministry in 1995.

Already a 20 year parishioner at that point, I knew from the beginning that my goal would be to help families, adults, and children to meet, know, and love Christ --thereby making Him a welcome guest in their homes,families, and workplaces resulting in sharing Christ’s healing, mercy, and redemption in the world.

Many educational and volunteer pursuits have contributed to obtaining the wide variety of skill sets this ministry calls for. Among them : Graduation with honors from Holy Family and Alverno College with a BSN and Communications Minor, serving as a Wingspread Scholar and, (after graduation,) as a TA for Alvero while pursuing a career as an RN, and trying out my creative chops as President of Lake Country Theater . Later, combining my two loves--teaching and nursing, I took positions as Staff Development Director and Special Projects Coordinator at St. Camillus while continuing to volunteer at school and in the community.

Musically, I directed an adult guitar choir at St. Anthony”s on the Lake,directed the school children’s choir, adult mass choir , and filled in for the school music teacher for two quarters (presenting 2 musical shows).

I believe, however, that my roles of: “wife” (now widowed), “mother” (of 2), and “grandmother” (of 4) have served me best in God’s “Ministry Preparation Toolbox”.

In my “spare time’ (if there is any), I enjoy evenings and afternoons filled with joy and laughter with friends and family--movies, concerts, plays,(especially when my daughter is performing), good food, reading, boating, and swimming!

Most of all, I enjoy what is referred to in my family as “Grammie Palooza” weekends with the 4 loves and “sunshines” of my life---my grandchildren--- who shower me with their energy and joy!

I feel blessed, honored, and fulfilled that the Lord called me to this Ministry and continues to excite me with its’ challenges and blessings.
