Terrie Carew

Assistant to the Pastor

I was looking to find a position where I felt I would make a positive impact on the lives of others and my own life, while using my broad range of talents and skills. I was honored to accept the position as the administrative assistant for Fr. Ken in December of 2013. As a parishioner of St. Charles for almost 25 years, I knew this position was the right fit.

With a BA in Communications from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania (near my hometown of Pittsburgh), I have worked as a PR and fundraising director, personnel manager, and an administrative and communications assistant in a variety of industries. I was also a substitute teacher and teacher’s aide for St. Charles School for a couple of years. I hold a CDL license, which was a requirement from my previous job as a school bus terminal manager.

I grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Hartland in 1992. My husband Mike (from DePere, WI) and I have been married since 1984 and have three adult boys. I was raised Catholic and attended a Catholic elementary school. I have served in many volunteer roles at St. Charles Parish and School over the years - choir member, organizer of Fall Fest volunteers and chair of Breakfast with Santa to name a few. My journey as a Catholic continues, as I am always looking for ways to deepen and share my faith.

Responsibilities

Keeping Fr. Ken’s calendar is one of my main responsibilities, and I am always happy to help those who need to talk to Fr. Ken or assistance in the Parish front office. I work on special projects as assigned by Fr. Ken.
